homeschool spanish tutor
If you’re looking for a homeschool Spanish tutor, you’re in the right place. I have Spanish cohorts for ages 8-10 and 11-14 for just $11 per session. You can join anytime of year, but most of my sessions start in the fall, winter and summer.
You can find my lessons on Outschool. Click here to check Beginner Spanish for Upper Elementary. Click here to check out Spanish I for Middle School.

Homeschool Spanish online
The great thing about these homeschool Spanish lessons is that they’re online. Outschool uses Zoom. This means you can join from any device: computer, chromebook, phone or tablet.
What Spanish Curriculum do I use?
I create my own Spanish curriculum, but the grammar and vocabulary for Spanish I for Middle School follows the structure from the textbook Avancemos I.
Beginner Spanish for Upper Elementary is also my own curriculum. Some of the vocabulary is the same as the middle school class, but it follows a different order and structure.
How do I structure my Spanish Lessons?
I have an effective, yet engaging structure to my Spanish lessons.
- Introduce 4 to 6 vocabulary words by showing a photo and saying the word together
- For the middle school class, students take notes first. Then we do pronunciation practice
- Doing an activity to practice the 4 to 6 words (more on this below)
- Speaking practice using the vocabulary we just learned
- Repeat the process with 4 to 6 new words
Spanish Classroom Activities online
Because we’re online, there are several types of activities I incorporate. I always use Google Slides to present my materials, but I like to make the slides interactive. Using the website, Nearpod, I’m able to make the slides interactive. Nearpod is a kid-approved website. What kind of Spanish activities can we do there?
Nearpod Activities:
- Matching Pairs
- Drag and Drop
- Drawing or labeling graphs, photos, or diagrams
- Fill in the blank
- Open-ended questions
We can also do fun activities using Zoom. Sometimes we use the Zoom chat box to practice answering questions. Other times we use the Zoom whiteboard to play Pictionary and review vocabulary.

I also do private Spanish lessons. Take a look at this video to get more insight about how I teach. This video discusses my tutoring style, but I use the same methods for my other Spanish classes.
